Dr. Isaac Bayor
Dr. Bayor is an experienced thought leader in the nonprofit, international development, and humanitarian sectors. He currently serves as a Senior Policy Analyst at Canadian Lutheran World Relief, an international development and humanitarian organization. He holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from Western University in London, Canada, an MA in International Peace and Conflict Resolution from the University of Notre Dame in the USA, and an MA in International Development Management from Ruhr University in Bochum, Germany.
With over 15 years of experience, Dr. Bayor has developed a deep expertise in policy analysis, government relations, peacebuilding, transitional justice, conflict analysis, humanitarian aid, disaster relief, and livelihoods. His career spans roles in prominent international and regional organizations, including CARE International, the United Nations Development Program, and the West Africa Network for Peacebuilding.
In his current role at Canadian Lutheran World Relief, Dr. Bayor leads policy advocacy efforts aimed at enhancing the organization’s profile and contributions within strategic working groups. This includes engagement with the Government of Canada, the United Nations, heads of agencies, and other national and international networks. His ability to bridge grassroots project implementation with high-level policy advocacy sets him apart as an influential leader in the international development and humanitarian aid sectors.
Dr. Bayor is known for his unique approach to integrating humanitarian, development, and peacebuilding initiatives with policy advocacy. His dual expertise in on-the-ground project management and strategic government relations enables him to offer a comprehensive perspective on addressing global challenges.
