About Africa Canada Policy Innovation Lab
The Africa-Canada Policy Innovation Lab (ACPiL) is a nonprofit think tank committed to strengthening the partnership between Africa and Canada through innovative applied research, strategic cooperation, and principled dialogue. Our work advances both policy and practice, moving beyond traditional aid models to foster mutual respect, economic opportunity, and long-term stability for a resilient and prosperous future.
Our approach is rooted in evidence-based research that is rigorous, context-specific, and market-oriented, producing practical insights to guide sound policymaking and results-driven collaboration. We facilitate multi-stakeholder dialogue through workshops, policy roundtables, and collaborative platforms that bring together policymakers, business leaders, civil society, and academic institutions across both regions.
To tackle complex policy challenges, ACPiL employs cutting-edge innovation frameworks, including design thinking, foresight analysis, experimental approaches, and user-centric methods. These tools help us co-create and test actionable solutions that are grounded in real-world contexts.
Through this integrated strategy, we advance shared outcomes that support inclusive economic growth, responsible resource development, youth leadership, women’s economic empowerment, civic participation, good governance, and resilient community healthcare systems.
